Here at Maxton we have been manufacturing fork internals for classic front forks for more than 25 years. We also supply front fork stanchions for 35mm fork sliders at the same time. At the end of last year we decided to design and manufacture our own lower fork slider, so we could then supply our own complete front fork.

The fork leg has been designed as a copy of the 35mm Ceriani fork, that was fitted to a lot of classic race bikes in the 1960 s, 1970 s and 1980 s. The fork leg itself has been passed by the Classic Motorcycle Racing Club (C.M.R.C) to be used at there race meetings. This means that there will not be a problem with eligibility at all race meetings.

The lower slider has been machined 'in house' from 7075 billet alloy by our team of engineers. We manufacture a drum brake slider and a disc brake slider. The slider is very lightweight and has a Teflon coated top bush to guide the chrome stanchion. The chrome stanchions themselves are machined from T45 tube. This means the stanchions are very lightweight, but very strong. The stanchions have also been hard chromed and centreless ground for an excellent finish.

The forks are built to order so we can make the forks to suit the length you require. We also valve and spring the internals to suit the weight of your bike and your rider weight.

Here at Maxton we manufacture modern fork internals for modern race bikes. We have taken that technology and adapted it for classic forks, designing special pistons and valves to suit the different needs from classic tyres and chassis'.

There are a choice of two types of fork internal. Both are Maxton's new GP20 cartridges. One is adjustable for rebound damping and the other is adjustable for rebound and compression damping.
